Finally, I have got the Clap(otis)

Clapotis has been in my queue on Ravelry since I signed up.  Thinking I would have lots of time to knit on this trip, seemed like a good idea to bring in on.  I finally figured out the pfb that had been eluding me...why?  Who knows.

I have GOT to be the universes   s l o w e s t   knitter.  Nights of work have gone into this and I have just about this much done.  Slogging through the straight rows.  Onward.  Jeez.  At least I have only had to 'unknit' this once or twice when I decided to knit a purl row.

Then again I was distracted by these kind of things on the road trip:

A six and a half hour drive to the Taj Mahal in Agra brought all kinds of things to distract my knitting.

This was one of them.

In seven trips to India theis is the first cobra in a basket I have seen.  This kid wasn't really a snake charmer...more like a tourist farmer--going up and done the line that was STUCK (and I mean not moving for an hour) in traffic.

My colleagues were surprised I hadn't seen this before--apparently they are common in Old Delhi.

The proud monkey. I don't like the captivity of him. There are so many monkeys that are roaming all around with out being chained. I am sure this is profitable for his handler and the monkey was healthy. They go from car to car, hoping for a donation. Five rupees is a big deal. That would be a dime, US.
