Another Bucket Off The List

I did it.

I jumped out of an airplane.

It has been on my list for years, and I signed up to do it, didn't tell a soul I was going to do it, just went and jumped. I figured if I chickened out, nobody would know and no harm.

Awesome isn't the right word. Exhilarating, a true rush and fantastic may get closer to describing the feeling. I wasn't scared at all and the first 60 seconds of the free fall were like nothing else.

Would I do it again? Sure--if someone else pays for it. It is expensive and now I want to go on to the next adventure but am not sure what that is--it is amazing the hole that doing the skydiving has left for me. I need to get south of the equator but that is just travel. I need something on the list that has the potential to scare the crap out of me. I love that feeling of understanding my limits, of being scared and knowing full well I will do it anyway.

Maybe being dropped out of a helicopter and skiing down in fresh powder. Maybe.
