Hemel Hempstead

Car park at the Holiday Inn--this is what is outside my window today.

I have only a slight case of jet lag going--and am going to take a bath, my vitamins and go to bed. The weather here is typically English--grey but not too cold.

Continuing on with The Artist's Way, I found doing the daily pages and being sleep deprived a good combination. Add to that a hot cup of tea and the words were flowing. I am having a hard time with the Time Travel exercise around old creative enemies. I can't find them..I don't think I had them. I had an easier time with the champions...I could name one right off but two and three came harder. Maybe that is where my negative core beliefs reside...I just don't remember a lot of encouragement. I did live in the shadow of an EXTREMELY artistic and talent older sister and brother. BUT I was never discouraged, just not encouraged. Exercise 8 only resulted in four imaginary lives: Vet, HR Activist (Peace Corp), Photographer and Rancher (WHERE did THAT one come from?)

OK, off to a hot bath and THIS as a reward!

It's technically already Saturday morning...which means we start Week 2 today. And I still haven't done some of the Week 1 exercises... I'm such a doof...never occurred to me that the good ol' Holiday Inn chain was over in Merry Old England.

Now this towel rack looks like a wonderful addition to everyday living. Couldn't it bring a bit of extra glamor and luxury to an Artist Date?
