I first came to Pittsburgh in the early 90's--and was expecting it to look like a scene from Flashdance--all steel mills and gritty. The drive into the city, and the amazing explosion out of the tunnel, entering into a shiny beautiful town is a photo forever in my mind. It was stunning. It was also the first of many trips I made with a client that I really liked. But, like most business, that ended and I haven't been back in too many years.
I was here for a quick trip--right downtown where the architecture amuses me--it is iconic and period and littered with junk of commercialization. Looking beyond the commercial crap reveals a different feel that is lovely. The city still needs more revitalization but it is a beautiful part of the county and I enjoy it every time.
