Whoa. This is definitely a no parking zone. The truck driver was leaving the parking lot at the truck stop next to the hotel I am in in Calgary and had a seizure. The good news: Everyone is OK. The bad news: this truck and building are history.
It took hours for the fire department to free the truck from the building--It was amazing to watch the skill and strategy it took to remove both the driver and the truck from the building. There was the 'heavy rescue', lots of police, security and fireman involved.
By midnight the truck was gone, a fence up around the perimeter of the building, and rent-a-cops watching over it all. The driver has been on my mind--I hope he is really OK.
