Normally I rent a car and drive where ever I need to be...This time I got bold and took the Metro.
So much easier. No traffic or trying to read mapquest in the dark. And I didn't read (ONE MORE DAY OF THIS) which was not what I would usually do on a train. It was interesting but at one point I became very aware that some people don't want to be looked at and there is a reason books are popular on the train. While trying to avoid eye contact, I saw lots of tunnel and an occasion site. I really, really wanted to look at some of the people but figured it might not be in my best interest to do that.
This better be the only week we don't read.

Not reading was tough for me too!Good for you for trying something new! I used to take the "L" to work and loved to people watch. The trick is to appear as if you're looking just beyond the person. If anyone caught me, I would flash a quick smile and look away.
